Considering that Finland is often ranked high in global studies regarding internet usage and innovation, I would argue that Finland is extremely well positioned to tackle the challenges involved in e-voting. No sign of coronavirus in Helsinki

As the old saying goes, Finns turn into different people in the summertime when the vacation season kicks off. Suddenly this law-abiding rational people turn into a bunch of hippies that couldn’t care less about anything but sauna and sunshine. Let’s hope we get lucky and don’t end up with a bad situation in the autumn. But to be honest, I don’t feel too comfortable with the way most of us in Finland are behaving right now – and I definitely don’t believe in luck in these kinds of situations.

Having a Google Assistant in your sauna is not at all ridiculous

Having now been able to access Google Assistant from my sauna for a couple of months, I can vouch that it’s absolutely great! There’s the entertainment aspect of it, mainly thanks to music and podcasts, but you can also ask Google about whatever happens to come in your mind. You can also send notes to yourself and set reminders, or even dictate parts of your next blog post. And if you want your sauna session to be a meditative and mindful experience, you can always play a guided meditation, or just ignore the damn thing and sweat in silence.
