ABout Me

I’m a tech enthusiast, entrepreneur, and sci-fi geek from Helsinki, Finland. I’m 45 years old but still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. My ambition is to live in a new country for a few months each winter.

I write and talk about how to live a good and balanced life, how to become a better entrepreneur, and how to get an edge through tech and science. In essence, about the things that shape our future.

My background is in software development, insurance, banking, and finance. Previously I worked for a venture capital firm called OpenOcean, but since June 2021 I’ve been involved with an insurance focused climate tech startup called ClaimsCarbon.

I’ve always loved studying and was fortunate enough to get two university degrees. Finland is a strange but wonderful place because high-quality education is basically free. I hold a M.Sc. in Finance from Hanken Helsinki and a M.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Helsinki.

I believe that curiosity and a desire to learn new things are essential for a meaningful and happy life. Every day I try to read and watch/listen as much as possible. Audio books and podcasts have become super important to me.

I started my blog because I have a lot of stuff on my mind that I want to share. Hope you enjoy my writing and please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you’re visiting Helsinki.
