VILLA MAIJA
Villa Maija is an old charismatic villa from the 19th century situated in Hanko, the southernmost city of Finland. The villa was originally built as a private summer residence, but nowadays it functions as a B&B for eight months of the year.
With seven rooms, some of which are larger apartment-type suites, Villa Maija is the perfect place for summer vacations. It's also a popular for smaller company events, such as workshops and seminars. Despite the old look, Villa Maija is equipped with modern equipment, such as air conditioning and a fast wi-fi on the property.
Our family business C&E Rosenberg Ltd, where I'm CEO and co-owner, acquired Villa Maija and the existing B&B business in 2013. Since then we've done a lot of development on the property and with the business, but there's still a lot of interesting things to be done.
Hanko is my favourite place in Finland, alongside Helsinki. The beaches are incredible and there's a unique atmosphere thanks to the old villas and summer houses. It's the summer city number one in Finland, though I'm of course very biased in this matter.
Please pay us a visit if you're in Finland, and if you come to Hanko – you must! During the summer months of June - August there's a high probability that you'll find me working in the reception.
